Daily Practice.
I started creating my daily practice in 2016 with the 100 day project on Instagram. It's a free global art project that anyone can participate in. Artists, makers, or any creative are tasked to choose an action - some sort of small creative endeavor - and work on it every day for 100 days, posting the progress on social media.
It quickly became part of my routine and I never stopped. (The making part that is - I don't always post on IG). I make at least one small painting every day to start my day in the studio.
These paintings stand alone and aren't meant to necessarily be copied into large paintings, but they do inform my work on a regular basis.
